The Costa Brava becomes one of Spain’s main open-water stages this weekend as La Radikal celebrates its 17th edition from 9 to 11 October between Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc.
Its three main distances —7 km, 3.5 km and 2 km— are sold out. Organisers report around 2,000 participants per edition and more than 14,000 swimmers across the event’s history.
The 7 km race starts at Port Bo beach, heads towards the Illes Formigues and finishes in Llafranc. Relays, kids races and activities for companions turn the weekend into more than a single swim.
