The Canary Islands project focuses on personalised cycling experiences combining sport, landscape and tourism, with Gran Canaria as a starting point and the wider archipelago in view.
Gran Canaria offers an especially attractive setting for riders who want to cycle through much of the year. In that context, I’M PEDAL uses the bicycle as a different way to discover the islands.
Behind I’M PEDAL is Alfredo Montes, a Canarian cyclist with deep knowledge of Gran Canaria’s roads and landscapes. The idea is simple: adapt each experience to the rider and turn every route into more than a sum of kilometres and climbing.
More than a route
I’M PEDAL creates experiences for cyclists, groups and athletes who want to train or explore the islands on two wheels. Routes, sporting level, logistics and services can be adapted to the needs of each group.
The Canary Islands as cycling territory
The concept goes beyond one island. Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, La Palma and the rest of the archipelago offer very different environments, from volcanic landscapes and ocean roads to major climbs and mountain routes.
Cycling and sports tourism
Travelling cyclists increasingly look for a complete experience: good roads, accommodation, logistics, food, assistance and local knowledge. Projects such as I’M PEDAL connect those needs with the destination.
