The middle-distance race takes place on Sunday 25 October. Nikki Bartlett, a podium finisher at Mogán-Gran Canaria this year, is among the announced contenders.

Challenge Forte Village Sardinia has announced more than 50 professionals from 12 nations. Defending champions Lasse Nygaard Priester and Sara Sandrini return, alongside men’s contenders Tom Hug and Joran Driesen and women’s entrants Justine Guerard and Gabriella Zelinka.

Two champions return to familiar ground

Priester won the 2025 edition in 3:37:43. Sandrini claimed her first professional victory here in 4:16:47, overtaking Nicole van der Kaay late in the run. Their return brings both winners back to a venue where they already know what it takes to reach the finish first.

A coastal course in southern Sardinia

The middle-distance event covers a 1.9-kilometre swim, 90 kilometres on the bike and a 21.1-kilometre run. Athletes swim off the resort beach before tackling a single bike lap through the south of the island on roads closed to traffic. The run follows the coast towards Cala d’Ostia over two laps.

Race times and following the event

The professional men are scheduled to start at 08:00 on Sunday 25 October, followed by the professional women at 08:02, local time. Age-group and relay starts follow. Saturday 24 hosts the sprint and children’s duathlon; Sunday’s programme also includes aquabike.

The organiser directs readers to Challenge Family Live for live timing.
